STATEMENT FROM THE ISRAEL PROJECT’S PRESIDENT & CEO JOSH BLOCK ON MICHAEL OREN LEAVING OFFICE

“The Israel Project is sad to see a leader as effective and dedicated as Michael Oren leave the Ambassadorship. Our organization has had the privilege of working very closely with the Ambassador’s office during his four plus years in Washington. He has been an invaluable asset in our efforts to ensure the American public receives the accurate facts and information on the Middle East.

“Mr. Oren’s cerebral approach to both detractors and supporters of the American-Israeli relationship is one of the main reasons American support for Israel is today at a 20-year high. His tireless work as the steward of Israel’s connection to President Obama, Congress, the American Media and the American people has made an immeasurable contribution to the goal of our organization. Thanks to his efforts, and his work with the organized Jewish community in the US, the bond between America and Israel has been solidified and strengthened for many years to come.

“Michael Oren’s dedication to the American-Israeli alliance will no doubt continue long after he has left the Ambassadorship this fall. His expertise is one of the best assets available to the pro-Israel community and I look forward to working with him in the future. I wish Ambassador Oren the best of luck as he moves into the next phase of his career.”
